Omero Tarquini, the so called, mere “sculpture” as his instagram puts it, yet evident iPhone genius probably shot today, with the precision even a computer algorithm trained via the most astute matrixes woulf have struggled to formulate, and given the slight but forgivable pixelation, likely on nothing more than one of his renowned yet trusted iPhones——probably the very greatest raw, real and unedited photo the world has ever seen of the globally celebrated Capri Landscape; The Faraglioni Rocks

Just like that as if it were a walk in the park, but in this case, quite literally a walk on the beach and bam, booya and, dare I say, lifeless immortality? It is known that out of humility and old Italian tradition, the astonishingly talented yet youthful Brit does not call himself an Artist regardless of the fact he so evidently is one. Although it may be unbeknown to many, in Italy—in accordance to custom—traditionally speaking at least. One truly needs to be unequivocally masterful in the arts let least be of certain years to be called the all encompassing title of “Artist”. We are talking about a country that materialised Leonardo Da Vinci & Michelangelo after all.

Yet a sculptor who’s works were in fact placed within collections flanked by the likes of Michelangelo himself and Picasso since the tender age of but 24 years old has to have a touch of humility, respect and tradition does he not? That said for those very reasons he can be nothing but what the world would call an artist and upon reflection of that fact one question does come to mind above all. Can an artist capture that what a photographer cannot?

May we all answer that question ourselves as we enjoy a view, fortunately given to all of us for free — thanks to the amazing invention that is Instagram !
